General Information
C-ASIST-FHC offers acute and primary care services to individuals who are 19- 64 years of age with NO medical health insurance. The clinic also provides mental, behavioral, and substance abuse disorder counseling, care, and referrals for treatment to both adults without insurance and to young individuals under the age of 18. These services are only made possible with the help of highly dedicated medical and non-medical volunteers LIKE YOU!

Volunteer Policy
- Volunteer appointments are made for One Calendar year
- Appointments may be renewed yearly upon approval of the Volunteer Coordinator and completion of appropriate forms and updated immunization record
- Volunteers are expected to commit to working a minimum of 1 shift (4 hours) every quarter for a duration of 1 year
- One absence per quarter is permissible with prior notice at least 24 hours in advance; additional absences must be discussed with and approved by Volunteer Coordinator
- Volunteers who leave a position prior to the one year commitment may be reassigned within the year at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator; however, reassignment cannot be guaranteed
- Volunteers who commit to working once a month for a full year will be offered liability insurance protection coverage through the clinic. Other volunteers are covered through their personal insurances and/or protected by available state and federal laws. For a description of current laws please click here
